  25. I've got a dialer entry that attempts to fire up an ftp session. The other
  26. day, I used it successfully, so I know that it works. Today, the remote
  27. host must be having problems, because the attempt just sits there with the
  28. window saying "Connected to [ip address]", where "[ip address]" is what I
  29. entered on the dialer's "General" page for this entry.

  31. Seeing that it was not going to work, I tried to kill it with Ctrl-C. It
  32. died a bit more violently than I intended, throwing a fault for trying to
  33. write location 0x0 at address 0x0051761a.
  34.  
  35. Once I understood that it did not like being interrupted, I refrained from
  36. hitting Ctrl-C for several minutes. Seeing no progress on the screen, I
  37. eventually did go ahead and kill it with Ctrl-C.
